Exhaust Ticket Help plz

So i just got my first ticket ever and its because of the DC sports cat back exhaust i got installed on the versa. So anyone can give me a basic idea to what is gonna happen when i go to the summons? And what i should do cause i really don't want to remove the exhaust. I have to silencer to i could install that on? He also told me that i wasn't allowed to have tinted windows in the back of the car is that true?I know tinted windows is not allowed in the front windows but the back...... i live in NY btw.

every state is different as far as tinting goes. http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/NY/ As far as the exhaust goes, its just like getting a speeding ticket. Many states have a set noise level that the car must not exceed, nd if that is the case, just ask to see the DB reading taken by the officer. Some states only use a law which is worded such as "causes a reasonable degree of disturbance" or "may not be modified to increase noise level. I know in my town we have an ordinance against noise above a specific level, but officers rarely carry a decibel meter and therefor cannot prove the facts regarding the ticket.
