Hi there I’m a very very proud owner of a 95 240sx and I’ve had it for about 6 months now and I’ve got the car to the point where I’m ready to start building it up. Right not I’m looking at buying a cat-back exhaust and an intake for it could you please give me some help…….i’m looking for a good power range but also a great sound, I do like loud exhausts.

for a loud exhaust, get the turbo application Apexi N1. its a 3inch pipe, and you would loose low end because of the huge diameter of the pipe, but it would be plenty loud for ya. intake, either Injen or Aem is what most peole would tell you i think. i have the Injen w/ the cold air extension, and it sounds really sweet at WOT

oh yah, i just got the HKS Hiper exhaust for my '95, and it sounds amazing. its not TO loud, but its not to quiet either. its sweet. piping is like 2 1/2 inches. i couldn't tell hardly any loss of low end power either

it's just my opinion, but if you're on a tight budget, and you have welding equipment, then just have some shop make 2.5" piping for you and buy a straight muffler. then just weld it on yourself, b/c they'll just charge 100 bucks for labor. or you could just get one of those straight pipes like this kid with a honda accord here....actually that's what most screamin v8's have, those resonating pipes with perferrations all over or whatever. has anyone tried that with a ka? it's probably just ridiculous though, and slow as hell with an automatic like the honda accord with unpainted body kit. hmm..i just read what i said and i'm typing out of my ***.

I dont think anybody tried to imply that you were poor or a camaro lover. Doing your own work when possible is not only less expensive but also great for learning and getting to know your car.

wtf?I'm far from poor, but I have a lift in my garage to do my own work.It educates you, saves you money, and gets the work done faster.

I wouldn't mind doing my own work if I knew what the hell I was doing. I don't have money to blow so if I **** somethign up..I'm ****ed. Good point though, just because you do it yourself doesn't mean it will be bad quality.

i try doing alot of things myself. if i find it will be to much for me, or i can't do it, thats when i am forced to have it done. i hate having to pay to get something done to my car. its such a waste of money IMO. now if its a huge job that has to do with the internal of a motor or something hard like that, i'm more than willing to pay to have it done, just because i would have absolutely no clue what i was doing.
