I'm running a trust dp that replaces the stock cat along with an hks super dragger. It isn't very loud but sounds pretty good.

The trust DP replaces the stck cat or did you special order yours that way. Also can you get a DP and Catback and not replace the cat, would you have to do some welding or is it bolt on??

My sr parts car had a trust straight pipe on it with a downpipe. It came with the exhaust that way. I had no need for the exhaust and gave it to a buddy. I kept the downpipe which was better than the one I had.

As far as I can tell the only Tanabe exhaust available for the 240SX is the Hyper Medallion for the S14's. And the piping for that application is 60mm which is not advantageous for turbo cars. If you are talking about a custom pipe and a universal muffler then I dont know how it sounds, though they do make one big enough for turbo applications.

*I guess they make the G Power and DTM Medallion for S14's too.

Don't buy tanabe. They make a lower end exhaust. Stick w/ the known companies that are known for their quality, like A'pexi, HKS, Blitz, etc. I'd stay away from Tanabe, GReddy (exhausts), and other cheapo exhausts.

Nick.
