Before I got my Apexi N1, I had the flowmaster on my 240. I Loved the sound and I could tell alot better response in the pedal. I've acually got my old setup sitting around in my garage. It has 2 1/2" custom bent piping and the flowmaster muffler. If your interested let me know.

Apexi is alot more expensive, and it has 3" piping which is a better setup since I have a turbo.

If you are going turbo it is better to go with a larger pipe so that it flows better.

you will if your engine isn't powerful enough... but if your sticking in a turbocharged engine that shouldn't be an issue...

Hey-kev91240, incase you didn't get my last reply. I thought about it and I can cut the old piping off of the muffler and ship the muffler and tips, it would weight about 1/3 as much and you would have the most expensive part of the set-up.

flowmasters blow ***. they're baffled. baffles = turbulance.

cherry bombs really rock. its TOTALLY straight thru, and has less perferations than normal mufflers. essentially, its a straight pipe. the thing is.. they're loud as hell, and they get louder over time... who cares tho, they're $15, and easily replaceable. they sound pretty damn mean too, no "bees in a can".

k well, i got my 2 1/2 in pipe, cat cut out, and a 40 series flowmaster b/c they had no 60 series, the only complaint i have is at high rpms its pretty loud, ive heard louder, but the tone is great, the acceleration and throttle response is great, only problem is the loudness at high rev.

Try Magnaflow. Their mufflers are straight-thru designed and carry a lifetime warranty. http://www.bigexhaust.com
