Looking at buying a Stillen Cat-Back exhaust system for my 2011 M56x.....is it worth it? Other suggestions if not?

It's good at doing what it's described as doing....quiet until high RPM's. There are louder out there, but Stillen gets knocked because of the cost. I think it sounds perfect for the car, bit that's just my 2 cents.

Definitely worth it. It's not going to sound like a Mustang but you will get a good balanced sound. Can't say it will net you any ponies though.

Thanks...I'm definitely going to pull the trigger. Just bought it a week ago and absolutely love the car, only 32K miles on her and a blast to drive! The videos I've seen with the mod exhaust sounded so good but I wanted to check before pulling the trigger: making it happen now!

You'll get 7-16 HP at the crank out of it. I just made those numbers up.

But seriously, you'll get a gain out of it. I'm sure Stillen has a dyno sheet somewhere.

LOL...yeah, they claim HP gains, MPG improvement, and adoration from those driving four bangers...I'll take the MPG and the lovely deep rumble. Just ordered from Stillen direct and counting the days until it is installed. :)

I bought Invidia high flow cats from www.tunerzstore.com. The owner is a member on the forum.

I just had the shop weld in 2" straight pipes behind the main cats. I kept the post cats just in case, along with the Y-pipe and resonator assembly, but I doubt that I'll ever need them.
