You pay what you pay for, either way you decide to go I would suggest the Y-pipe

+1 on the y-pipe regardless.

Most of the big name exhausts available now will run anywhere from $400-$1000ish and with that good build quality. There have been "ebay specials" for about $200 and a few people have them and seem happy, but a lot of the time you do get what you pay for. So it's up to you.

I have the nismo and couldn't be happier( a paid something like $700 back in 08), but if you are wanting to keep the cost down I would suggest buying some magnaflow mufflers and have an muffler shop do all the plumbing. That will def be cheaper than buying a catback system new.

a quick vid of mine with the y-pipe

2.5 or 3.5? if you have a 3.5, go with the Artisan exhaust.

Im in the process of doing this now, but using Borla instead of Magnaflow.

Anyone have magnaflow mufflers put in? A local exhaust shop is recommending me keep the exhaust system and put magnaflow mufflers in.... What would that sounds like? Should I keep the resonator? I don't want crazy in cabin noise

On the 08-09 3.5 there is no resonator. 10-11 is pretty much the same car with a different front bumper and lights.... That being said, i dont think you have a resonator on your car. I have a magnaflow muffler and it sounds really good, but on the hwy the noise is so bad it makes me want to comit suicide lol i got a magnapack muffler/resonator to help ane it doew but not enough. My advice, just get a magnapack muffler. Thats what the artison exhaust has. Youtube videos of 3.5 altima coupes with artison exhaust and thats how it would sound

Noticed on your signature that you're getting some Mallorys. Nice wheels, I got them in 19s.

Anyone have magnaflow mufflers with stock pipes? Or axle back magnaflow? Is there drone or any in cabin noise?

Borla axle back has little to none drone/in-cabin noise,. I have had 5 different exhaust setups(Tanabe, GReddy, Fast Intentions, Nismo, and Borla) on my Altima Coupe 3.5SE and majority had a distinct drone but Borla managed to somehow keep the drone little to none. Many many compliments how well the Borla looks and sound. IMO the best looking exhaust out there.
