I'm thinking about doing an exhaust on my pathy. I really want a deeper sound but don't want to drop too much on it (of course). Any ideas? Ive seen some with magnaflows which sound good. Im just worried about installation because im not too familiar with how to and i dont feel like paying for installation.

Unless you are doing the welding yourself you will have to pay for installation. You can just get the muffler changed, if you just want the deeper sound, for a low installation cost. I had a borla that sounded great. Here it is:

cost me $350 /labor plus parts/ to get my rotted out muffler and exhaust changed...I wasnt able to remove the 2 resonators
It was a Cherry Bomb Turbo (2in1out) reversible...much better as there are no holes...and the shop that did it put some VERY thick pipes. Im happy about that but Ill probably have to take out the resonators later on if those rot out which I dunno when since the pathy is not a daily for me. I will make a thread with pics when I get to finding the sd card I have it in soon.

i had a dual exhaust fully custom exhuast done a simple 2 in 2 out for 600 bucks including tax. its a lot deeper than just a muffler change i got a flowtech muffler but may cherrybomb it soon after the lift and everything is done. only thing is mine is not stailness but neither is the factory pahtifners echaust so i just spraypainted the welds and the tubing and got stailness tips.

Hi there, i am the proud owner of a 2001 infiniti qx4. Im looking at getting a new MUFFLER, not a complete exhaust system. I have a few questions which i cannot seem to find answers to on the internet. First, what are the stock muffler measurements? Second, @Alfredo24.pr what model borla muffler did you use? that sounds awesome. Third, if i were to do this muffler exchange i would need a dual inlet single outlet muffler of the same size to match the pipes on either side, correct? Does anybody have any recommendations?

Im not sure about the size but you should just go with a dual inlet dual outlet. I have be unable to find a dual in single out

Went with a Magnaflow dual in single out. Added a few ponies, sounds great, muffler is stainless with lifetime warranty. Muffler Shop had it in stock so I didnt need to pick out size etc.
