exhaust system, buy or fabricate?

Car: anything having to do whith rubber and wheels.

I dont know much about modern engines, but with the older z cars i owned it was much more practical to take your car down to the local exhaust shop and have them bend you an exhaust system out of your choice of tubing. does that work well on the ka24de? or will I get more power from a pacesetter system or something?
