check with a machine shop see how they do it. There might be a special extractor, I know they are one way in and zero ways out with the provided tool.

Good freakin luck... out of the numerous helicoils i've removed, the only tools that worked was a tiny screw driver and needle nose pliers. it takes a lot of patience, but it'll come out.

and another

They are pretty vague on how it works, but it looks like that screw part goes into the coil and somehow allows it to come out with its extracted.

Why do you want to remove them???? If you drilled the hole in the wrong place, just leave them if you can, oor did you install the wrong thread pitch. Wrong kind of extraction tool!!!

well i have the adapter plates on my rb25 to run rb26 manifolds, and i use smaller exh studs, and larger in another place, i basically put the helicoil in the spot where the larger stud goes.... someone told me to use a pencil and hack a notch into it, and it will thread out... sucks though this is what happens when you rush sigh..... also i found the proper extraction tool but super vague on how to use the mofo
