After returning from a few days of snowboardin I decided to go return my friggen boots i borrowed. Huge *** sound wakes me up as I turn the engine on. I check under the car and great my stock mufflers been stolen. I guess people steal these things to sell the metal for a few bucks or something.

Anyways I talked to a friend and he had a stock cat I could put on the car. I just need the car running so I was looking for a few catback exhausts that are cheap. Any ideas where i could find a used and or cheap catback exhaust?

Stock or aftermarket i dont care. I just dont wanna pay too much, since I only use the car to go to school and such. I should jus sell i and get a civic or something, but I can let it go :p I live in California torrance/gardena area.

Arg sorry making i long, bu also for the bolts and I dont know what its called but.... Its like rubber on he tip of the muffler I think. They took em all! Where can i ge the rubber part and bols for the muffler, and how much do you think its gonna cost me?

Oh well any tips whatnots would help. THANKS!!

I can't believe someone would steal a muffler for money...

Anyways, for a cheap aftermarket exhaust just get an e-bay one, or look in the clasifieds or craigslist for a stock one if you want something quiet.

At this moment i really dont care what it is as long as its cheap and keeps the popos away from me haha. They took my catalytic converter and the muffler. I do have a replacement stock catalytic converter, so I guess i just need a catback exhaust?

ebay is the cheapest but it definately won't be quiet.

your best bet is to look around and see if anyone has a stock exhaust...

I saw one on craig's list the other day, let me see....ah! found it. It's in the San Diego area, but it's a stock exhaust for a S14, what kind of car do you have? Hopefully the link is still good when you get to it

I got my eBay exhaust for $160 shipped. I like it, don't care what others think of it, I'm not gonna pay $600 for a pipe.

I paid around $600 for the BRM exhaust, and it is definitely worth every penny I paid. I'd rather spend the extra and get something that I know is gonna last. But I wouldn't mind trying an ebay one just to compare

This is the most random thing iv ever heard of. Did they saw it off? Because usually those stock bolts are friggin rusted on pretty well (atleast in my experiences). I'm surprised they got it off in a timely manner. The rubber things are the exhaust hangers. That's the only thing rubber I can think of regarding exhaust. Those should be fairly cheap.

EDIT....just realized you said you were out snowboarding for days. Probably thought it was an abandoned car? Luckily that's all they took.

you mean platinum

as far as the rubber things you're talking about... exhaust hangers; just goto your local parts store and buy a few of those rubber hangers, heck, maybe some local NICOnauts have some old ones since this is just your daily driver

Ok so.... Now i got a supposively stock muffler and cat but it doesnt fit. GOD. Are the exhausts and cats different sizes for like the hatch and the coupe? Its about an extra 2 inches so the whole thing doesnt fit the car.

Maybe ill try buying a bosal bolt on cat and see if the sizes are the same. U can return em right if it doesnt fit. Ill post some pictures up later to see if you guys can figure out if their for my 93 hatch.
