exhaust/ sr swap

alright guys, i searched the board couldn't find any help. now i'm curious about how the hell you disconnect the exhaust from the mainfold. Like how do you access the bolts? i think there's 3 of them, and i think i might be able to access 2 of them for sure but that 3rd one looks like a bltch. And did you have to use a deep socket?well if you could reply that would be great, thanks

The exhaust from KA? It should just unbolt completely along with the downpipe that does to the exhaust manifold.

U'll have to use a deep wrench. I helped my friend take off his and it took some muscle but it came off. Just dont strip it.

so did you have any trouble accessing any of the bolts?

Not that i can remember. He has a '93 and i remember one gave us some problem but we caked it it liquid wrench and it came off with some effort. i dont remember if we couldnt reach any of them. his dad has like every tool and wrench extension on the face of the earth tho.

i just used a really long extension with my ratchet. if you take off the heatshield you can see the bolts from the engine bay, pretty visible.

wait till you try and take your transmission off, you'll be using a 3 foot extension...good times

you dont need a 3 foot extension to take the transmission off, the bottom bolts are easy, its the one at the very top that u need to hug the transmission and barely move the wrench that is the *****
