Exhaust Sound Question

What makes the 2009 G37X sedan quieter than the 2004 G35 coupe? I'd like to make it louder without adding performance exhaust. Does the sedan use a resonator?

just made a call to Infiniti. Found that they both have resonators at the mid pipe which are welded in. Different part numbers between both.

Answered my own question. Guess I'm gonna try a cold air intake.

In general, the sedans have larger/heavier resonators which cancel out a lot of the volume.

I'm also under the impression that the G37 engine and/or exhaust is tuned to be more mild than the G35 (I still like the G37 coupe exhaust better than the G35 coupe exhaust).
