I recently purchased a used 07 G35 Sedan Sport with ~38k miles on it. After driving it for a couple of months, I notice a burning smell when I'm in the cabin at a standstill. At first I thought it was an oil leak but I've been checking and haven't noticed anything. I took it into the local dealership and they said nothing is wrong, although they recommended I change the microfilter. I noticed that there has been quite a bit of exhaust coming out, even when the car is warm and the temperature is mild.

Any thoughts on the smell or exhaust issues? Do you think its just related to the cabin airfilter? Thanks!

Keep taking it back to the dealership until they find where the smell is coming from and fix it. Your still on bumper - bumper enjoy your G37 loaner.

Maybe try a different dealership.

Welcome to NICO!

Did you look near the oil filler cap for oil spill? If the previous owner did his own oil changes, they could have spilled and now it's being heated/burned on an engine component.

Thanks for your responses!

Unfortunately there's only one dealership in my area but I'll be sure to keep bugging them about it.

I didn't look at the oil filler cap, but I think the previous owner took it to mechanics to get service performed (saw some service records). I think I may just need to jack up the car and look underneath...
