Exhaust smell comming in 2002 q45 while at stop light

I have a 2002 Q45 with 146000 miles. I has been and is a Great Car. I recently have noticed an exhaust smell in the passenger cabin while at stop lights. This happens with both the A/C and Heat on. Any suggestions

Sure it is not a burning oil smell? Common for valve cover gaskets to begin seeping oil at this age- inspect carefully with a high powered flashlight!

Your were correct looks like new gaskets are in my future

Be sure to replace spark plugs while you are re sealing valve cover gaskets, as the labor to get to them is minimal while doing the gaskets, and could save you 3 hours labor to change them at a later date.
