Hey guys, quick question. I ended up having the turbo go on my ca last week. I'm going to go ahead and put a srt25 on there(for 150), but the problem is, I don't have any money at the moment.

I figured Id wait till next week when I get paid to get the turbo on there, but I still need a car to get to work. Is there any way I can route the exhaust so I can run without boosting? My friend and I ran the intake and maf to the intake hose on the car directly, and It runs. I just don't know if its good to have all the exhaust coming out the turbo hot pipe.

I also know the ecu isn't meant to be driven with no turbo, but it should be able to at least run for a week right?

And also, is there anyway you guys know of to source where an oil leak is coming from besides just looking? I cant tell if its the trans or engine.

Ill get some pics up in a little bit to explain a little better. Thanks for the help!

where is this oil "leak" of as you speak? Trans fluid and motor oil dont look the same and IIRC the trans is a sealed unit so it should be leaking at all.

you should be able to run the engine MAF+Filter to TB and be fine. people run blow through mafs so that they dont have to worry about a vac leak and/or a missing component stopping the entire engine from running.

fuel is added based on what the MAF reads so......... the MAF never reading boost means it should be able to run the proper fuel of an NA engine.

that being said........ cooked turbo, issues with oil leak, and wanting to use a bandage on a gun shot wound........... need to find some solutions or you are going to have bigger problems than what to do about exhaust gases.
