exhaust removal

right now i have about 15 holes drilled in my exhaust. if i were to cut the exhaust tubing right where it bends after the diff. would it be a lot louder? the reason i want to do this is to save weight and maybe make a little more power. i would get a new exhaust but i have no money, and plan on getting a 3 inch exhaust when i go turbo.If it sounds riced out i wont do it but it seems like the resonaters quiet the exhaust a lot. thanks

Nice ghetto mod, it's worthless to drill holes in your exhaust, why do people do stupid things like this I never know.

yes, it will be loud. you shouldnt do it. plus all the exhaust gases will end up right beneath your trunk and possibly leak into your cabin.

i think the holes in the exhaust might have given me a hp or 2 but it definetly sounds better

You should get an ebay timing chip too, they are good for at least 10HP.

crazy: did u seriously drill holes in your exhaust? thats got to be one of the dumbest things ive ever heard. its got to sound like crap now that u've done that. if you want some horsepower gains from exhaust go buy a decent cat-back system.

before holes i tied my brothers s13 after holes got car length on him to 60

I wouldn't go chopping off parts of your exhaust, you'll just end up losing alot of your midrange and low end power for minimal top end gains.

Not to mention it will be very loud and more than likely very raspy.
