So I have been driving around on some semi rough roads around Atlanta and have recently noticed a slight rattle coming from my exhaust yet it only occurs around 1-3k during acceleration. I have a full greddy exhaust set up if that means anything. It sounds like something is loose but it doesnt sound like there is a leak. I've thought about jacking it up but since I only hear the sound during acceleration, not just during an engine rev that it must be something I should ask about.... any help?

Without hearing the car, it's difficult to pinpoint. Most likely it's a heat shield. I've also seen small screws or rocks get into the transmission shield and rattle around...

Yeah I searched over at g35 driver and found it to be a common problem with the heat shields. Now Ive gotta find a shop to look at it since my ride height is about 3inches....

Should be easy enough to raise the car and fix it yourself.

Most likely a heat shield. Time to rip those things out :)

Probably the heat shield towards the middle/rear section of the car.
