Exhaust rattle @ 2 - 3k.. gone!

I went up to my dads to change out the bulb in one of my fog lights, got that done.. and I was like:

Hmm... I'ma gunna try and take that their cat heat shield off and see if my rattle/horrific noise goes away!

Got it off.. then I looked at one of the bolts that connects the header to the cat and it was like.. backed way the hell out.. to the point of where you could jiggle the exhaust and see it move without shaking the header at all.. was really loose / big ole space in there

Great! So I went to tighten it, but sprayed with WD 40 first so I didn't break the bolt.. I start working the bolt back and forth to get it to loosen a little bit, goto tighten it, give it two good turns and its like.. "haha! **** you!!" and broke. So I spent the next hour or so drilling the rest of the bolt out.. but I got it all back together, it's actually quieter AND HAS MORE HP + TORQUE!!

I took the shield off the header near the footwell area and found two broken peices of metal in there (from the shield I think), tightened it back up.. NO MORE RATTLE FROM 2 - 3K!!!!!

I love my car again, and my N1 dual sounds sexy once again..

Also, from fixing my exhaust leak I have greater HP, TORQUE, MY CAR CAN CORNER BETTER AND MAYBE ITS AWD NOW?? HAR!!

(mebbe it did help a tiny bit w/ performance)

ehwell i saw minebut i can tell the diff now that is fixed.. sounded really loud under my side

rattles. the exhaust note seems to burp at idle or when you let off the throttle. at low RPM's, you hear what sounds like a groan. Those are a few symptoms.

loose bolts and blown gaskets can be the cause of exhaust leaks
