Hey all - Just needed to verify something with the fellow niconauts real quick.

Before I ask, I just wanted to state I purchased a magnaflow muffler to be mounted on rear of car because I thankfully got the car running. Sort of. Well, I'm not replacing KA with SR, and need to know if I can still use this muffler.

its a 2.5 inlet and I just wanted to make sure that it will be ok to run a 2.5" pipe for stock setting SR.

Thanks guys - any other comments or whatever will be helpful. Once I order engine I plan to get a seal/gasket replacement kit, and run it at stock boost for now - Eventually probably bump it to 9-10 psi, but thats as far as it will ever go.

So - cliff notes.

Will 2.5" exhaust piping be ok to run with stock running or mildly boosted (9-10psi) SR (S14 notchtop)

ThanksCRyan

Sure! It should be nice and quiet with a low mellow tone. But I think it's amazing how a 3" turbo back exhaust can pick up 20-30whp and help that turbo spool alot faster! I would get a turbo back exhaust before upping the boost just because of spool time. It will be 5 times louder than a weld on muffler tho.

On a side note: Did you save me your side skirts? Remember, I called first dibs months ago.

I've still got the side skirts - But i opted to not remove them. Sorry man - I'm sure I will be planning to do some body work in the near future, but not for this little project.

Have you done the SR swap before? With S14 chassis?

AND - I'm wanting to be it a bit of a sleeper, recirculating BOV, mounting anything dealing with boost/psi in glove compartment or center console, you know. The works.

I don't blame you they look sweet! Yes, I swapped in a S13 blacktop in my S14 and I would only use the s13 blacktop if I ever did another SR swap. I also blacked out my exhaust and intercooler/piping. I like my blitz ss bov. It's not loud but it does have a nice sound.

I run 2.5" from the turbo back, no cats, and a Apex N1. It's loud. If I'd known it would be that loud, I would have went 3".
