So is anybody could tell me which car has the same exhaust as rogue. I want to install Borla exhaust but they didn't make it for Rogue nor for sentra se-r yet. I don't want to get a universal nor cheap exhaust that will sound like I have a hole in a pipe.

The Rogue exhaust system is unique. It's not shared with any other Nissan. The only portion that 'may' be shared with other Nissan's is the header. ie Sentra SE-R and Altima 2.5S

Your only choice is a custom built system. This means finding a good fabricator.

As for getting a quiet system, the QR25DE is known for being quite tinny/raspy with any sort of straight thru muffler. Usually a very large resonator (basically a pre-muffler) is needed to quiet things down and reduce the pitch... but the Rogue lacks the room for one in the AWD version. FWD models have more room.

Either way, you definitely won't be getting a 350Z sounding exhaust.

This is Alvin from Borla Performance in California. Check our Universal Mufflers online to find a muffler for your Rogue. Take measurements from your OE exhaust. You can also find the closest dealer on our site. Thanks for your interest!

Will definitely check. But I'm hoping that one day you guys just produce a full exhaust for that car.

ok. it seems to be muffler from altima could fit but bumper have to be modified because it is a dual exhaust. Maaan....it would be nice if Rogue would have dual exhaust like altima.

looks good but now I wanna know how does it sound? Also it doesn't look that the bumper was modified/cutted on the other side. But the main job seems to be done. Too bad Borla doesn't want to sell just a muffler from altima but full exhaust. $800+mod labor in shop is kinda too much for me.

In a winter I really wanted to have a dual exhaust but I cooled down on that idea after finding out that borla declines to sell muffler only. Before I that I played on photoshop with exhaust on pics. I'm not good with photoshop so this is what I had:

Hi Leo... No photoshop here... this Rogue owner has already gone dual! The only downside is the rear bumper isn't set up for dual... but it still looks good.

EDIT: I originally included a link to the forum that was displaying this picture... but other than the owner (Rogi Bear) saying he had the work done at a local muffler shop... he provided no other information.

well if u really wanted to have a cut out you could possible find a wrecked rogue with no rear end damage take off the bottom piece cut out the cut out on both bumpers and switch the cut out over...it would require a lot of work and precision but i think it is doable...but not many wrecked rogues have an intact rear

Hey Elton. It is not necessary to post same picture more than once. Putting too many pics may cause more time to load the page as I found out earlier. Also I didn't say anything about photoshop for this pic since I already saw it at different forum. It is a great idea but it is a crappy job I would say after looking at that second time. The tips are not symmetrical most likely because the bumper wasn't cut. He should make a straight picture from the back not from the angle. After all he should put a sound clip of the exhaust. Otherwise a lot of people would think it is quiet as original or just added extra muffler tip. I don't want a loud exhaust but wouldn't mind to have something close to infinity. Then you can call it FX25 or EX25

Meh, the dual exhaust doesn't do it for me. The lack of the bumper cutout for the tip really throws it off appearance ise.

The QR25DE 4 cyl in the Rogue will never sound like the V-6 in the Infiniti regardless of which exhaust you use.

I posted some sound clips of the BRM exhaust setup for the '08 Sentra SE-R in another post. IMHO, it's about the best sounding QR25DE exhaust I've heard:

The Sentra exhaust won't fit the Rogue, but you get the idea.

Actually I was surprised to find there are quite a few Rogue rear bumpers out there. Prices aren't to bad either. Here's one with a small ding in it. No big deal if the only purpose in buying it is to remove the section with the muffler cut out.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

To get an ida of how many Rogue rear bumpers are floating around ... check out this selection:http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_n...cat=0

If I could get the exhaust sound like that se-r I would be happy enough with that and wouldn't worry about v-6.

Exhaust systems are bit of an art. I have no real 'guidelines' but I would look at assembling a system with components from Magnaflow or the like. Make sure to include a large resonator (both length and diameter) to help with high frequency noise. A pipe diameter of 2.5" is plenty. Stainless tubing is desirable, but even more important is to use mandrel not crimp bends.

If anybody 'attempts' an exhaust setup on thier Rogue, please be sure to post it here.

For ideas, I would start searching the Altima forums. Specifically the 2.5 models as they have been out for years, the motor is nearly identical 2.5l in the Rogue, and alot have learned through trial and error the best setup.

I was looking to do a similar mod to my Altima before I sold it. At the time most recommended the Magnaflow 12640 27" resonator (to reduce drone) with any of their dual exit/tip mufflers. You could also try a muffler from a 350Z or G35 (both are mounted transversely like the Rogue's muffler) if you want the 'dual tip' option.
