Hey guys I wanna stick a pretty decent exhaust on my car, without paying out the ***. I saw a kid the other night with the ebay catback, and it looks/sounds decent.

So Im wondering. If I bought the ebay header:

And the ebay catback:

Would everything bolt up just fine, or would I still need a test pipe?

i'm not real sure how well any "EBAY" brand stuff bolts up. i would save up a little more money and get an exhaust, even a USED Big name one.

Well I talked to the kid with the ebay catback and he said that bolted up fine to his test pipe (hes sr'ed). No problem at all, and this is the catback that he purchased.

Im just trying to find some opinions here, and if im going to need a test pipe.

Ebay is usually hit or miss. Sometimes the quality is ok, other times it's awful. And yeah, you'll most likely need a test pipe/hi-flow cat. I didn't check your links but very few exhausts come with a test pipe/cat. But yeah, don't be surprised if it doesn't line up right, it's a no-name ebay brand.

A friend of mine bought an ebay exhaust for his integra after seeing pics and a video clip of one. He bought the same one as the pics and videos and guess what...it didn't fit. He had to cut/weld it just to face the right direction, and the entire thing was about 6 inches too long. The hump where it goes over the rear crossmember was in the wrong place, it took about 100 bucks and about 2 days to finally get it to go on.

That said, it's you call if you want to go through with it. 200 bucks for the exhaust + say 100 for a muffler shop to fix it (or your friend) is still less than a real exhaust, but it comes down to if you want it to bolt right up or take 2 days for it to fit.

If anyone knows me, they know that I am brutally honest with my opinions and again, I’m going to show that here. Why did you even post wanting someone’s opinion when you already made a decision to buy the exhaust? Save your money if you want something good and will sound great.

I bought a similar set of headers from ebay in uhhhh '05 and they're still working today, I had a little problem with the EGR tube but that's all fixed now. In fact here they are If you can see the EGR tube was sticking out too far, and a little modifcation made it fit again.

I also found a cheap magnaflow cat on ebay, it had flanges on it so it just bolted right up. similar to this one
