Exhaust question

I've been looking to get an exhaust for my '02 Spec V and I was wondering If get a Nismo cat-back and Header, will I need any sort of mid pipe? I live and NY and emissions inspections can be a pain, and I was wondering if I get Nismo header without the pre-cat, will it set off the check engine light?

Yes your light will go on. There are ways around it, check the Common Fixes thread in the Table of Contents.

The header should come with the proper midpipe.

NISMO stuff is overpriced. Get an SSAutochrome header and a BRM, Greddy, etc exhaust (check the exhaust thread) instead.
