I am running an Apexi N1 single catback with resonator(75-85mm piping with 110mm tip) on an NA setup. Stock header and cat/downpipe/fakecat on a 98 ka. After i have run it hard for 20 to 30 minutes it tends to sound like it is popping inside the pipe. Not really a backfire but a resonant popping. It seems like I don't have enough backpressure for an NA setup. I am running with the silencer, that definately helps quiet it down a bit.
Here's what I was wondering, could I have a muffler shop replace the fake cat with another resonator to calm it dowm a little and add a little backpressure back into the system? I don't plan to turbo for a while, but i got a good deal on the catback system so I went ahead and put it on.
I have searched and not found any answers that fit my specific situation.
Thanks for any good advice...
