i know this is a random and far out question, but ive never seen it done so i was just wondering. wouold it be possible to buy a true dual exhaust like the borla for example, except cut it off before the back wheels, install different mufflers on it, and have a pipe coming out right in front of each wheel? again, i know it sounds insane, but im just wondering haha

I've never seen it done on one of our cars, but someones gotta try it. I'd image the muffler would have to be small to fit. go for it, you never know, you might be the first. That's not a bad thing.

The Stillen system is a true dual design. There are a few others that use 2 mufflers too...just look around on some of the aftermarket sites.

Try taking your design to a mechanical engineer also, they might be able to give you some better angles with the use of some thermodynamics. good luck man

hmm i think you're talking about a side exit exhaust system... its something similar to what the newer vipers come equipped with... I can't say i've seen one on a G35 but i think i remember seeing a 350z with the similar setup that you're talking about... I guess i'll go on google look it up and if i'm lucky i'll post a pictrue...

yeah, to no avail... i couldn't find anything... I mean i'm pretty sure to get a side exit exhaust on your G35 is possible, but it'd have to be a custom job... but if thats what you're aimin for... good luck!

ya im thinkin just like the new vipers. itd be real tough, and also i think installing it would be even harder than crafting the angled pipes

i saw that in ocean city last year that i went. it was on a Twin Turbo 350Z though. it sounded so nice the guy said it was a custom made. a local shop around my area did it for him. i think he told me it was like $1500 to get it done, and the car sits at their shop for like a week and a half.

alright, so its definitely possible. see if i end up doing this i think ill just use one of my dads clients who is a mechanic to help me out. just throw it up on a lift there and go in with maybe the borla true dual exhaust and get him to help me bend/reweld the pipes to be angled

the bends that ur gonna make probably wont be the same as from the manufacture. they might restrict the flow, u have to have a very good pipe bending machine to get it perfect. A regular pipe bender will leave ripples on the metal and that creats a problem in the flow of the exhaust.

It depends from the material and from some other things. You also can heat the pipe up and bend it would creat a better finish. Also you can put the pipe full with sand and bend it that way. They came up with some really good bending machine in the last few years.
