Exhaust question needs answer

1st of all, what is it that makes the distinct tone in the G37 and 350z sound?? 2nd can I get that adapted to my s14 ??

Its not only engine, but tuned exhaust isn't it?

I though that was one of the cars where the engineers worked the s*** out of the exhaust to manipulate the sound...
If so and engine swap will only get you close...

i just said it could be done. i never suggested as to how difficult it would be.

it still has a distinct sound with aftermarket setups too though, so my guess is it is mainly engine... that's not to say they didn't tune the exhaust as well

I would think it's more the exhaust manifolds than the exhaust itself.

V6's do have a pretty distinct sound, it's just the VQ tends to sound much nicer which is why I think it gets more attention.

On of the members is rocking a sig with a quote about just how terrible the VQ sounds. Why would you want to make a 240SX sound like that?

Some locals have them around here set up on their MR2's, sound almost the same.
