A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I recently bought a 2001 Sentra SE. I love it to death, and the engine note sounds great stock; however, I want a bit more noise with some performance gains as well.

The only problem is, I don't want a really loud exhaust setup. I will be doing only a catback for right now, as headers arent something i want to mess with right now. My question is, does anyone know of any exhaust system/muffler that I could buy that would keep the noise down, but still give me a bit of a gain? I know that a catback does almost nothing for performance, but the butt dyno will feel a change, and thats all I'm looking for right now.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

I have a BRM (http://brmusa.com) on my SE and love it. With a bigger resonator it would be outright quiet. I have the 13in res, but you can get up to a 22in I believe. Check out the website and give them a call. It's a nice deep tone that doesn't rasp at all.

Welcome to NICO!

Too bad their sentra section on the website is down right now. Thanks for the advice though. Anyone else have any suggestions?

Yeah, not sure what's up with that. The phone number is on the website.

Your other options include HKS sport (lots of retailers, try http://sportcompactonly.com) and VRS (http://vrsexhaust.com).

With the HKS I'm not sure how big the resonator is. VRS gives you the same sort of options BRM does. I think both of them have alumized 2.25 and 2.5in catback setups for $300-350. The HKS setup is 2 1/3in (metric conversion) or so and I think closer to $400.
