Hello,
I have 2000 Nissan Maxima SE it is stock. It has a stock exhaust. Single input, dual output.
The problem I've been having is that it hesitates under hard acceleration. It was throwing a code for the IACV, so I replaced it. Then it started throwing a code for a Lean Bank One. I replaced the fuel filter, hoping that would be an easy fix. No Luck.
I noticed that the driver-side tail pipe is not exhausting. Now for the stupid question(s). It is suppossed to exhaust from both tail-pipes right? Is this caused by a bad muffler? I believe the Cat was replaced about 2 years ago, so I don't think it is a clogged Cat. Would the back pressure from a clogged muffler cause bank one to be lean?
I feel like I've been rebuilding this car one part at a time since March, but I'm not ready to consign it to yard-art yet.
Thanks,Yvette
