So I got a Magnaflow installed the other day and to my surprise the PF does not sound any different than before. Which is not a bad thing since I wanted it to stay quiet. Got the dual 2 1/4" inlet and single 2.5" outlet 22" long. Really don't feel any different in performance either.
So the whole set up is factory dual 1.75" to the muffler where it opens up to 2 1/4" and then combines inside the muffler to a single 2.5" exit and then back into the 2" factory tubing until it exits.
My question is should I go ahead and have the rest of the pipe from the muffler on back changed to 2.5" and just get rid of the rear resonator? Will that change any performance at higher RPM from that 2" into 2.5" tubing? And would it make it very much louder doing that.
I initially was just going to put a 2 1/4 " inlet stainless steel tip on and have it curved to come out the side instead of the rear for better looks but I'm thinking about doing the above as well if it wont make it much louder.
