What type of car do you have? Is it a 2.5, 3.5, Sedan or Coupe?

well if you really want coilovers just save up for the coilovers. if not, i think an exhaust would satisfy you more than an intake.

Honestly a lot of us here have the name brand intakes(Fujita/Injen) and exhaust systems(Gretty TC, Stillen, Borla, Nismo) but you can get a no named brand intake for $40.00 bucks. I don't know if it's 40.00 for our cars bc they are still fairly new but my friends bout two intakes(idk the brands) that the showed me yesterday on there 05 Jeep V8 and 95 Accord and they actually sound nice. The Intake will save you a lot of money compared to the exhaust. I got the Stillen Cat-Back w/ Fujita SRI and it sounds great but it kinda buried a hole in the pocket. You can get a Fujita Short Ram Intake for $200.00 at Fujitaonline.com w/ free shipping and installing is easy as stealing cake from a fat boy

i heard that some people who have both intakes and exhaust have said that their intakes kinda buried the sound of their exhaust which kind of made me learn towards the intake more... is that true?

Frank it is true... if you want a good bang, get a straightpipe exhaust, it will be loud n ballzy without all that extra cash.

Depends, neither will give you much in HP gains, maybe a few, and no, as much as people will say it, your "butt Dyno" won't feel it either. I always prefer an exhaust for the sound, but you can increase engine growl with an intake too.

Straightpipe exhaust, i searched it on the forum and so does it just involve modifying the current exhaust or something with the resonator to give it a bang? and after doing a straight pipe is it gonna be ridiculously loud? and is there any cons to doing it? and how much does it usually cost?

thanks
