Exhaust options for the KA24DE

Wsup. I have had a custom 3" exhaust pipe from the cat to a universal muffler for 3 years. i had always kept the silencer on it, and even then it was pretty loud, but livable. recently , the silencer ha gotten all rusted up, so i threw it away, however, the exhaust is just TOO loud, and especially when decellarating, it starts to "POP".

1. what are the quietest mufflers?

2. is it possible for a shop to just cut out my old muffler and install a new one? (or do i have to get a whole new setup?)

a shop can cut off ur rusted muffler and put a new one on. they average price around here for that alone is $40

If you want cheap, magnaflows actually have a real nice sound to them. And the dual tip looks fairly stock.

thanks for the answers. magna flow? really? how much do they run? but im thinking more along the line of a mufler with a silencer or whatever. what do u guys think about the mufflers here:

For the magnaflow you should be able to walk out of any exhaust shop for 100 installed.

i think its alwasy going to be really loud unless you get a resonator, then its going to only be a little loud.

on my SSAC 3in n1 duals, i know the mufflers have to be ****ty, but the resonator does a lot of work to keep noises down.

they would just cut out a section of pipe and weld in one of those too
