I am in need of some exhaust work. The connection coming out of my front muffler/resonator is rotting off. In my experiance, there is no sense in trying to just replace it, as you will most likely screw up other parts of the old exhaust trying to fix it. I am thinking I just need to go with entire cat back replacement.

I do not want the loud, ricey exhaust, OEM would be perfectly fine, I want quiet! What do you guys think of this system for the money? $125.00 and $38.00 shipping.http://www.exhaustwarehouse.co...4.173Anybody know of any better deals?

it might be cheaper to get it repaired at a exhaust shop

Looks like a pretty good deal to me. If you're only concern is not being loud, that looks like a good deal.

On the other hand, you could probably have the local exhaust shop bend the whole cat-back system on site and do it for less.

This might be off topic but I just put a hooker maximum flow 3" muffler on my kat vert and It is extremely quiet, supposedly flows as much or near as much as a straight pipe to.

if you just want oem, exhaust shop repair is good enough. the muffler shop i used to use (I make my own exhausts now ) would only charge maybe $40 to fix what your describing.

stock size 2 1/4 inch glasspacks (or resonators) cost about $20-$30 if you need that replaced too.

Well, I researched 2 shops in my area, and they really did not act like they wanted my business. Did not want to just to try to repair, and was talking $500.00 range for bent cat back system.

I found this stainless system on ebay for a greeat price, but it is scarring me, one of those too good to be true??? Do you think I would be satisfied with this, or would it be too loud and harsh?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

Go with the ebay, or my first link?http://www.exhaustwarehouse.co...4.173

wow $500 is really rediculous, I know I just asked my shop the other day out of curiousity and they said $150 if you bring your own muffler.

If you want quiet stay away from the ebay n1's especially ones with 3" piping.

I have been thinking the same thing, I think I would be happiest with the OEM type one from exhaust warehouse.

$500?!

Wow. That is outrageous.

You might need to look further. Or you might have to pull the exhaust yourself, take it in, and tell them to replicate it. Then take it home and put it on yourself.

I just ordered the OEM replacement from exhaust warehouse, the same cat back at Auto Zone was $229.00.
