Ok, I wasn't sure witch forum to post this in... call me a re-re but I wanted to know if there is anyone who has ever put a 3inch downpipe from an SR20 on their KA... I have a complete RS*R exhaust from my 180sx and I want to put it on my 240 KADE.... im just not sure how long the elbow from the manifold is... ahh.. so hard to explain ... I just dont want to have the adapter made and then put the exhaust up and it's sticking out past the bumper...can anyone help me out here?

oh ok... the first cars I started learning on were Turbo cars so this KA is my first real N/A car to work on. I saw some post on automotive forums that said the exhaust will fit only to the catalytic converter because the SR has a downpipe. HMM. The exhaust that's on there now is all welded together.. I dont believe you can take it apart anywhere. I will probably have to get something fabricated so i can put my exhaust on there. Thanks.

did someone cut the cat out of the car and then weld on a test pipe (or just a regular piece of pipe)?

that is what happened to my car. youll probably be better off just buying a header and then putting the exhaust on. or you could buy a stock s13 downpipe (from the manifold to the cat) and bolt it up to the new catback.

however you could make the sr downpipe work if you welded up a new fitting to bolt to the stock ka manifold. i dont see a reason why it wouldnt work unless it was just too long and hung out way under the car. theres just some fab work involved.

Hey, it's just a lip from a pignose bumper... I found it at a junkyard, it looked horrible and was cracked up big time... I just got some fiberglass bondo out when I got home and worked with it a little bit. I still need to do a little more. hehe. thanks OH i'm not sure if that's my home made lip or not... I can't remember. It just might be. Well it's one or the other.. probably the home made one, made by using wall base from lowe's. search for "home made lip" on the search button.
