Hi i have a 90 Q45 that i just replaced a valve cover on the passenger side due to it leaking. I first noticed the problem when i saw smoke coming from the passenger side below the valve cover that would get worse at the exhaust would get hotter. I then noticed the leak and a friend and I installed a new valve cover with gasket kit whick consisted of couple of half moon rubber pieces and some rtv sealant. The problem with the leak is fixed but its still smoking from that side. It must have gotten alot of oil on the exhaust manifold and I've read of a couple of members having this problem. My question is how long does it usually take for all the oil to burn off the manifold?
