I've been trying for about a month now to get a replacement exhaust manifold washer. I talked to the dealership and they have one on order for me, but they're not sure it's the right one and it's on backorder anyway. This is actually keeping me from putting the engine into my car right now, and it's driving me crazy. Is there anyone out there that has a spare or two that they would want to send my way? If so, just let me know how much.

Thanks in advance,Brian

Have you checked the local junkyards? Look for an 88'Nissan Pulsar SE...

Hmm, good point. I hadn't even thought of junkyards. I suppose that should have been my first thought.

Update:

Well, every junkyard I've called (except one) has basically told me to stop bothering them. Junkyard people can be so annoying sometimes, lol. I mentioned that I was willing to purchase the entire manifold if needbe, but they wanted no part of it (no pun intended.)

So anyway, the moral of the story is: No matter what, keep track of your parts. Even though you think you can replace them easily, you may not be able to.

Luckily, there was one guy I talked to at one of the yards who was really nice about it and understood that I really needed the part. So he's supposed to give me a call sometime and let me know what they can do for me. If not, I've also talked to a few other people who think they could help me make a new one.

Last of all, I'm going to call every nissan dealership in the country to see if I could get a new set from them

If you're referring to the exhuast manifold to head washer, you can use one off and 240 with KA or SR FWD/or RWD or Pulsar with CA series motor. Or if no one wants to assist you, send me your mailing address and I'll send you one. that's such a petty part and am very surprised that no one wants to help you.

Yeah, that's the one. I thought it would be possible to use one from a KA, but when I got a hold of one, it looked like it was way too small... At any rate, I was going to send you my info, but I can't seem to find a way to send a private message. Where's that located?

Sorry I don't post nor check these forums much anymore, but I have a couple of those washers I always have some laying around though if Dee can't hook you up I can.

Thank you both. I believe I might have gotten some sent to me from one of the junkyards I spoke to, but I'll let you know if something happens to that.
