Hey, I have a question for my first turbo setup. Its a cheap build off ebay, bad choice but I cant help it. Anyway,

Its about the stock exhaust manifold and the one that is provided with the kit. The stock exhaust manifold has a pipe that connects to the intake manifold, I believe its the EGR?, but the exhaust manifold that came with the kit doesn't, so my question is what do I do about it?

Also, my turbo has four holes in it, I know two are for oil feed/return line but I don't know about the other two.

I'll get some pics tomorrow for a better idea of it.

Thanks in advance, Jimmie

you can cap the tube off, or buy one from jgs. as far as the holes, pics are needed. and turbo specs might be nice. If the holes are in the center section and it is a T-XX then they might be coolant lines.

"Intake pipe" is egrThe coolant lines should be same size across from each other. while oil feed is small and the return line is big on the other side. Most people liek myslef get a piece of metal liek diamond plate sheet metal or whatever and block off the egr system.Being your in cali I don't know what you have to do for emissions where you live.

hey justin send me one of those egr block off plates in diamond plate its that or weld the ***** shut.

O/P most cases the egr is not supported with turbo setups cause its anti performance, if that made sense. Keep looking on eghey and you will find an egr block off plate for you motor.

Most likely you bought a t25 turbo kit. The two ports on the sides are coolant line hookups, that come off of your coolant system in your car. I recommend the heater hoses.Make sure you use an oil restricter (.63) right before the turbo oil feed inlet, because those cheap Chinese turbos won't handle the high pressure the ka oiling system puts out. Trust me on that, I know first hand. Good luck

Heres a pic of the small pipe behind the exhaust manifold, so I can just cap that off right?

And for the T25, heres a pic of the top and back holes.

And these are the front and bottom holes.

You got that from GS infinity, aka Fatboyz garage. Thats where I got mine. You need to clock the turbo so the 2 bolt flange oil drain is on bottom.Mine was the same way. Just unhook waste gate actuator and loosen bolts on exhaust side and use angled tip snap ring pliers on intake side and rotate the housing to where it needs to be.Hit me with an email if you need some more help with it. Good luck, you are going to need it.

the smog limits in CA: you can't do shyt-everything has to be stock except maybe a ghey cai and a header that's "approved". But dealing with boosting, no way..It's either under the table smog check or back to stock if you want your ka-t registered

I took that damn egr pipe off then plugged the vac ports with little rubber caps so it wouldn't activate/open. You can just cap that pipe off just buy one from jgstools.com but i just wanted to remove mine because of space issues.

BTW, the exhaust flange on that t25 looks like it would fit on a t3 flange no?

No. t2 and t3 flanges are different. Thats why thye make different ones.

I just bought a cap from JGS. I still have all of my emissions stuff hooked up too. I was too lazxy to take it all off. Also it would be easier incasei have to put it back to stock for smog...which is coming up in may =/

How different are the flanges? I'm trying to find out myself.

Spooled measured his and got 45mm x 85mm.I measured mine and got 45mm x 75mm.But what you posted don't look nothing like what we got. I'm assuming that is inches, yes.If there is that much difference, then no way.
