I am in the market for an exhaust manifold and hope to not spend too much for one. I would like one that will atleast help me get 300hp because that is my goal. But the main thing is i would like to have one that will make my turbo sit on top instead of the bottom. Any suggestions? also will i need to get a different hood for my car? or will i be fine with the one i have now?

Just wanted to ask you guys since many of you have been in there before. I just need a list of what i will need in order to do this..etc..

any help is greatly appreciated!!

you can EASILY get 300 hp and even more on a bottom mount setup. You can fit a GT30 series turbo with a T2 flange with a bottom mount exhaust manifold... I know this because my friend has this setup. Granted that its a super tight fit, it works.

BTW, he has a full-race manifold which is not cheap.

But in any case, why do you want a top mount turbo if you are only looking at 300hp??

daaaammmmm 3100 dollar manifold... yea but ilikemy240sx is right if you only want around 300 horsepower i would recoment stayinyg bottom mount because 1) top mount is expensive 2) ull have issues explaining the snail sitting on top of your motor to the cops and 3) you can easily hit the 400 hp mark bottom mount. But if you do decide to go top mount you will not need to do any modifications to the hood. I have a peakboost manifold and everything fits but my engine bay gets really hot.

BTW Top mount does raise the underhood temp SIGNIFICANTLY (like srdub-t mentioned) unless you have everything ceramic coated... which is $$$$$$$
