The exhaust manifold studs and bolts keep loosening on my manifold. I am not using the factory locking tabs like i should be...but will be using lock washers this time arounds since my turbo-mani gasket blew out and i need to change it.

How should I go about getting the studs to stay in? I've tried high temp thread locker but that doesn't work. I was thinking of switching to a bolt with a lock washer on it and just feeding it up through the turbo and threading it into the stud threads. what do you think guys?

I'd just try to restore your OEM studs.

that. I want to eventually just get some beast allen headed bolt and use some anti seize and hopefully they'll stay.

i a assuming your talking about the turbo studs if the manifold have threads just use bolts and lockwashers. or if you got stud and they go all the way thought it just tac weld those stud on it

if you talking about the exhaust manifold stud that are on the engine you just need to torque it down

definately the ones holding the turbo on. Thanks guys, I always need that second opinion when it comes to my car. I HATE doing things twice, and I've done this turbo removal more than enough for my taste..
