So when i took my manifold off i found that the rear-most exhaust mani stud was broken.. so i got on the handy stap-on truck this morning, bought a set of lh bits and extractors, and drilled/removed the remainder of the stud this afternoon, which brings me to this:

i want to replace all the studs.. can i use the ones from the 91 sentra se-r? im going to go to nissan within the next day or so and pick up all the gaskets and studs i need.

personally i'm running a Megan manifold (w/o the bracket) and stock turbo and i'm missing that stud completely. i've seen cars run fine and boost fine w/ no leaks missing as many as 3 studs, although of course not too close to each other. my car boosts great, too, BTW, even w/o that one. the Megan does have a solid flange, which helps, but the stock manifold is solid cast iron so it should be equally rigid and be able to go without one.

just for the record, in case somebody else is reading this and going "oh, man, i just did that!"

Well im also running the megan manifold and my rear most runner was definately leaking due to the broken stud.. the traces of exhaust are undeniable. My local Nissan dealer sucks and doesnt stock the studs, so i got some generics. They are 10mmx1.25 if anyone needs to know.

With that sizing information it is very easy to order an ARP stud kit from a distributer other than phase 2 for approximately 70% less.

for the manifold gasket, use a S15 Multi Layer Steel gasket. Costs around $30 i think. ive used it through 2 turbo changes with no leaking so far. No sure how many times they can be reused.

The s15 gasket can be reused enough times. It's loaded with lots of layers and you just gotta be careful to get it clean when you pull the manifold off before popping it back on.

I forget the dimensions of the exhaust manifold studs. It was discussed before and you should be able to find the dimensions with a search.
