the megan top mount manifold is a good choice just make sure the turbo isnt to big. i had the exhaust housing hit the master cylinder so i had to get a different housing

Here's a couple facts I'm gonna throw out here.

The only cheap manifold that is worth using is the bottom mount SSAC type. They are sold by about 45 companies on the WWW but are all sourced from the same few Chinese manufacturers. Regardless of what that company says, they are the same. The only issue with this manifold is that you are limited to a T2 sized turbo. Which means the T25 or T28 for those not to familiar with what flanges are what. The T2 is just to small for anything more then 8-10 psi of boost. Can you run more? Sure, but then you start blowing out exhaust gaskets and suffering from exhaust gas reversion. Which in short means all the spent exhaust from the combustion process doesn't get to exit the motor. That's a bad thing.

The next step up from the bottom mount manifold is the top mount version made by the same Chinese companies. This manifold gets 2 thumbs down and if you buy it you'll have fitment issues and clearance problems. Not to mention the wastegate port is awful and the collector is ugly at best. People that buy this are the guys that never listen to what they are told or just buy the cheapest thing they can get their hands on. That's just bad thinking when it comes to forced induction of any kind.

The available cast manifolds require the use of an on-center turbine housing if you use a T4. You may be able to get a T3 to fit, but I don't know of to many people running this setup.

The next best bang/buck manifold is from JGS. It's a great log style manifold and is good for all types of power goals. From 250 to 500 whp.

The rest of the available options get better from here and the prices go up to match the quality/name of the manufacturer. It just depends on what your budget is and if you want a baller manifold or something cheap but still functional.

im actually using the ssac top mount t3/t4 manifold. yes there are fitment issues. i had to use the hockey puck motor mount method, plus i had to bend one of my brake lines a tiny bit to get a custom downpipe to fit. it is awfully close to the master cylinder so a turbo blanket might be a good idea. i need to get one still. im also on my second manifold, because the first one, the wastegate flange cracked off. ive had my car turbo'd for about 2-3 years now with a chinese t3/t4 turbo and have had no problems with the turbo itself. the only thing i had trouble with was the fitment and the wastegate flange cracking. would i recommend doing what i did? not really, but i can say that it works. just do it at your own risk.

I bought one quite a few years ago. I opened the box, examined the welds inside the collector and threw it in the trash.
