Exhaust leak

Hello all. I have what sounds like a exhaust leak coming from the manifold on my 07 S. I know its a exhaust leak and its coming from the front of the car around the engine. Has any else had a problem like this and would this be covered under the power train warranty? I have about 73000kms and all I have left is the power train warranty. Thanks for any info.

I don't believe the manifold gasket is covered... take it in anyway, you might actually be covered. That is a VERY costly repair on this engine, so even if you can get them to partially cover it... just take it in and ask, it couldn't hurt!

if it is an exhaust leak, they can probably fix it under emmissions warranty, id say its powertrain too, but who knows what the stealership will say........

They told me its the gasket between the manifold and the cat, $335.00 plus tax to repair. He has no reason for it to be gone at 73000kms. All he said was that it could be caused by vibrations and because all the kms im putting on my car, (3300kms in 3 weeks.) Anyway.....im going to take a look under my car, but does anyone know off hand if this is a very big job? I wouldn't say im advanced with fixing cars, but I know enough that I think I can fix it unless this car is very difficult to work on. Thanks for any tips!!!!

Holy crap. Tell them you have a Versa, not a GT-R.

Certainly something I would tackle having a garage.
