Exhaust Leak

Hey was just wondering whether an exhaust leak would cause loss of power or any issues?

I have a slight exhaust leak inbetween my turbo and dump pipe at the top inbetween the flanges (the dump pipe is apparently not flat).

Just wondering whether this would effect power, I'm also getting a lot of pops and bangs from exhaust :P

Was just wondering this because my friends CA18 with T25G, Exhaust and 12psi seems to quicker off the lights then my car (CA18 + T28 GTiR + 8.7psi + Exhaust + FMIC). Its probably just that he has higher boost and that my turbo is laggier right?

why not try patching up the leak and run a couple test like compression to see if its still leaking. Then test drive. It may leak again but if you do a good job it shouldnt. Then repeat.
