So the flanges on my test pipe are slightly tweaked and I just noticed that I have an exhaust leak where they mate up to the rest of the exhaust. Would this cause any adverse effects besides noise? Would I experience a loss of power? I know on an N/A motor I would lose back pressure but on a turbo motor it would just be that much less restriction wouldn't it? Like running an open downpipe. Someone correct me.

It can also disturb flow. It would probably be best to get it fixed.

your power band will feel jumpy because the exhaust is not constantly leaking out there. one of the bolts at my cat flange backed out and i was leaking exhaust there, and the car just farted a lot. especially at idle. It's not too detrimental, but you will want it fixed.
