Just wondering if there is a gasket that commonly goes out causing an exhaust leak on SR's. I am getting a strange noise while driving, almost a fluttering, it doesnt sound like any exhuast leak I have ever heard before but when I pop the hood and stick my head in there I can clearly hear one. Also, if there is a common leak point, where can I get a replacement gasket? Thanks in advance.

If its the exhaust manni then you can get one at the nissan dealer one for the sentra ser 2.0 and if its the one thats between the manni and turbo-nissan dealer and the one between the exhaust side of the turbo and the exhaust outlet goin to the down pipe-nissan dealer. These are all applications of the ser and the 300zx turbo models that utilize the t25 except for the ser it just has the similar head with the same bolt pattern and matching exhaust ports. Most of the bolts you can get there to.As far as the collector gasket on the down pipe, same thing-nissan dealer.

it's gonna be the one from the manifold to the head if it's "farting" if it's a steady noise it's the turbo to manifold gasket. I've got the same issue with my car right now (stupid OBX manifold is warped). just replace the manifold gaskets, Ken's got a really nice copper one he sells, or you can just run a gasket from the SER.

Have fun replacing either one of those gaskets. I did it by my self and to took entirely too long (like 7 hours from start to finish)

Damn 7 hours. Why so long? Really cramped working space. Im gonna replace some gaskets when i do the swap so i dont have to worry about anything. What other Gaskets are know to fail over time.

yeah, it is a bizznatch to get that thing out of there, and it is lots of stuff to take off. Then you have to take it apart to replace the gasket, then you have to put it all back together...
