i have a leak between the turbo and the exhaust manifold.... the gasket i guess is bad
someone on another forum told me he had the same leak and didnt bother changing it for a short time and ended up throwing a rod. is this really possible? can the leak be the reason?

Possible, but all it is is a boost leak. Your car will just run like crap. Unless he was being stupid and was abusing the car anyway with a boost leak that big.

I wouldn't take the chance even if it was a small leak. It would hinder your performance and it would probably be a waste of money to enter the drift event with a boost leak.

theres no way a leaking gasket in the exhaust manni or elbo would throw a rod. it would be from friction or hydro lock( posibly if it dump a sh1tload of fuel wich has nothing to do with it). just replace it for better perfomance. always a good idea to fix the little things ASAP
