exhaust issues

funny story....this morning on on my way to school i was just driving down the road and all of a sudden my car get extremely loud....now it was already loud cause the muffler i have on in has a hole about 12 in around...i was like...whatever. i continue on to school, people are remarking about how loud my car sounds in the parking lot. after school i meet up with my best friend at another friends house and we go on a quick ride around...as we're getting out of the car i notice the that exhaust noise seems to be coming from under the car rather than behind the car....sure enough the pipe running from the cat to the muffler is sheared off right behiund the cat! the thing rusted right through...well...brought the car in and decided to just weld the pipe back on....$40 job...not too shabby considering i can't do it myself...anyone have any interesting stories about breaking parts?

I just put suspension in (apex ws) Couple years back. Out driving I hit a pothole. I must of caught it good because it snapped my hood cable off. I ended up getting a hood cable and routing to the front so it wouldn't happen again.

I was driving to work one day and the AIV tube unscrewed itself from the exhaust manifold. my car sounded like a lawnmower. a very, very, loud lawnmower.

My cat spontaneously rusted through one day. I started it and the car sounded like a ****ing diesel truck. Nothing a test pipe couldn't fix though
