Hey everyone last week i installed my Greddy Ti C Racing Exhaust on my 2.5 Altima, now i realized when i try step on the gas, it's not moving as fast as when i still had my stock exhaust.

Does that mean i lost some torque by installing the Ti C?

Someone (was it you?) posted that when they replaced the silencer back into the fart cans, they felt the car's acceleration improve some. I am guessing the extra large outlet size of the Greddy TiC is robbing some low end torque (no, not because of "back pressure" loss, but too large a size).

Yea thats me, but now when i step on the gas i feel like the car is so slow, is like not even accelerating
And i did some search ppl sed it should be better without the silencer

Change the exhaust on our cars with the system you have should not affect your acceleration as you describe. Sounds like something else is wrong... Did they unplug o2 sensors or anything, any check engine lights? Maybe it's all in your head? I dunno haha.

when I had my GReddy, it made my civic accelerate faster. Either u installed ur fart can wrong or something. Take it to a shop to check?

I installed the fart cans myself last week lol
I dont think there are any possible ways i could have messed up during the installation... i mean is all common sense, they r bolt ons... how can i possibly installed it incorrectly...

Maybe im just feeling that way or something up in my head lol...

maybe ur pipes are just too big so ur losing more in ur lower end. if this exhaust is supposed to fit both 2.5 & 3.5 with just an extra adapter piece that means ur probly using 2.5 in piping when the ideal size for us 2.5ers is 2 1/4.... just my opinion

yea it did include the adapter for the 3.5...
Maybe ur right the pipes are probably too big....
So does that mean im better off keeping the silencer in the exhaust o.O?
Since some ppl say the silencer can affect the performance....?

first of all- i love how once i said fart cans (which essentially what i consider ti-c's to be) every post after that included that term lol

2nd of all- the "exhaust thermostat" was a crack comment from another thread that i man-giggled to once i read it,

3rd of all, silencers regulate the outlet of the exhaust mufflers w/ a thinner inside tube,

4th of all- im eating some pumpkin pie :D so good.... my gf made it for me...

back on topic- lol - but air still comes out the outer cone. just cus ur low end tq crapped out, usually means ur high end will go up. sacrifice one for the other. personally- i'd rather have low end tq so that my car 'appears' faster from 0-60 lol but ur gna lose the sound and bang factor. i look at exhausts w/ silencers in em, and i laugh. so aesthetically speaking- keep em out. lol

So with silencer my low end torque will decrease
And without my low end torque will increase but high end decrease?

Try with and without silencers and let us know the results. That "could" be the issue, but I doubt it would be THAT noticeable. Hrm..
