Hey I have a 2008 3.5 I recently bought the stillen intake and cat back exhaust for it and I'm unhappy with how quiet it is. My muffler guy was telling me that their was a resonator that came on the exhaust he could remove to make louder buy I've been reading up on this forum lots and guys have the y pipe with the removed cat as well. I guess my question is at this point do I get him to remove the resonator and see how that sounds or go for the full deal and get him to remove my cat plus the resonator and make me a custom pipe to the manifold?

I say remove the cat, and straight pipe to your muffler(s). That will let it breathe and should open up the sound.

Def remove the resonator in rhe middle of tge car.. What kind of exhaust did you buy? Are you sure it was cat back? Stillens fo come with a resonator, just take it out.. If you only bought axle back, then you should replace the entire mid pipe from tge cat to the axle back exhaust. Use 2.5" pipe. This will get rid of tge restriction under the axle.
