exhaust help!

I just bought a megan type 2 3" catback with a 3" test pipe for my ka, and I have the stock mani (for now). i read somewhere before that if you use a 2.5" gasket to connect the exhaust manifold to a 3" test pipe it should fit without any leaks, but i cant remember if they mentioned adding any gasket sealer or not and i cant find the thread anywhere! does anyone know if this works and if i need to use some type of sealant as well?? thanks for the help!

all you need are the bymetal compresson gaskets. they sell em at auto zone / o reilys etc etc
