Okay I have a 2+2 and the I have a stock exhaust except for magnaflow mufflers welded on the rear.
I wanna put a full catback on or at least change the magnaflow's.

My question is if I was to buy a turbo exhaust such as this one
the d5 concept cat back system
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/STAINLES ... 5639wt_939

How much modification would I need?
Is it possible to just fit the mufflers one via welding?
Any help would be amazingly appreciated :)

P.s I know it's a crappy exhaust, but I am curious to see the sound!
My step dad has a welder and just wanna know how much work we may be getting into.

That's beyond crappy man, 2.25" pipes. There are plenty of 2.5" 2+2 exhausts out there.

I wonder what performance difference there is, 2.25" vs. 2.5"

Significant. Stock is 2.25" Granted, all flow mods are more noticable on a TT, but it's still a difference for an NA owner.

Meh, your LaBree will flow better than the B&B, even with the diameter increase, I would think. The bends in the LaBree are favorable.

SZ sells 2.25" exhausts for NAs, but I'm not really sure why. Could be to keep sound down, because NAs with exhausts and test pipes are REALLY loud. Now I'm curious, and I may just look for a dyno between a 2.25" system and a 2.5" system on NAs.

From what I've gathered, the LaBree and SZ systems are the same. Same bends, sebring mufflers, etc. I haven't 100% verified it though, I'd like to ask Greg to get a definite answer about it, but he is never on here.

post your questions on tt.net, Ethan, i'm sure you'll get an answer. and i think you're correct, they had a business relationship, but i think sz makes their own stuff now.

Correct, they parted ways in 06, IIRC. LaBree systems sold since then are the same as the pre-split SZ systems. SZ has since, however, had a custom muffler made by Sebring for their use only. Their systems are now made by Fast Intentions.

Tyler I wouldn't think the tips have much (if any) effect on the sound. More for looks :)
