Hi all, I have a 93' hatchback mtx. Anyway I just had custom 2.5 inch cat-back with a jdm dual tip muffler. It sounds hella nice but it's so loud it makes me sick. I just had my resonator put back on and it made no difference. Just wondering if there are silence tips that fit the jdm or any other suggestions to quiet it down. I love my muffler I just want it quiet. Thanks

That thing's not really a muffler per se - especially that far back in the exhaust system.

I'd have a shop take out a section and weld in a Dynomax or a Borla free-flow muffler right after the cats. Don't worry about backpressure, if you've got a 2.4 l you're not pumping NEAR enough to overwhelm a 2.5 inch system. Matter of fact, you MAY find your low-end torque INCREASE.
